Ijevan |
TAVUSH is a wooded province, with a higher rainfall than most of Armenia. With some notable monasteries and some spectacular scenery, it is worth spending a few days in "Little Switzerland" as it is often called. Below: Berdavan can be seen in the distance near Noyemberian and the Azeri border. |
Dilijan |
|||||||||||||||||||
The bustling main street of Ijevan
provides visitors with many conveniences within a short walk of the
centrally located hotels. The park adjacent to the Aghstev River,
which flows through the town, contains some interesting sculptures,
and is dotted with cafe-bars and restaurants.
|
The old town in Dilijan is being renovated
for visitors, and as a memorial to a by-gone era. This street has
been converted into an art and craft locality, with all the shops
producing traditional Armenian ware from centuries past, and experts
on hand to show you how they were made.
