Garni is one of the few Greco-Roman
style buildings in Armenia. It is very close to Geghard and easily
accessible from the capital in a half-day excursion.

Tsaghkadzor provides ample accommodation
throughout the year, and can be a useful base to visit the valley
of the Marmaris River and also Lake Sevan. The adjacent 11th century
monastery of Kecharis is well worth visiting, and is just a short
walk from the centre of Tsaghkadzor.
